Joe Locke to be featured in our Legends & Lions Student Showcase - Summer 2024

High School students in the Jazz Arts Academy are gearing up to present a special showcase performance this Saturday at the culmination of the month long summer jazz cafe series at Triumph Restaurant Event Space in Red Bank, NJ. The concert is a Legends & Lions event with legendary Vibraphonist Joe Locke as the invited guest to play along with the students who have been training all week during the Academy's summer session.

As is our tradition each year we present a concept which has become known as “Legends and Lions” in jazz.  Students (our upcoming "lions in jazz") perform a set on their own and then have the amazing experience. Not only do they get to listen to a master, but they will perform with a legend Jazz professionals, in this case Joe Locke.

This is exactly what our organization’s vision is about; the pairing of young students with masters of the art form, giving them the opportunities and the spark that can ignite either a career path or simply an enduring love of the music that we honor and cherish.

The event is Saturday July 27 at 7:00 PM and takes place at the Triumph Restaurant event space, 1 Bridge Ave. in Red Bank, NJ.

Tickets are only $15 and can be purchased only through this link or at the door (if space permits). Seating is limited so please order your tickets early.
